Celebrations

I've had EVERY reason to Celebrate lately...

Starting with the Birth of our Daughter..

Her first Smile...

Her two month birthday...

And more recently my husbands first birthday as a Father...

After much consideration, i'm deciding to share my Top Secret Recipe. It's a cheesecake and pecan pie all rolled into one delicious pie! 

          

                                                             Breah's Mystery Pie Recipe

Ingredients:

1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup sugar
1   8-ounce package cream cheese
1   egg
1   deep dish pie shell
1 1/4 cups chopped pecans

Topping:
3 eggs
1/4 cup sugar
1 cup light corn syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:

Blend together first five items and pour in bottom of unbaked pie shell, top with chopped pecans.

For the Topping:

Mix all ingredients and pour on top of pecans.  Bake in 350 degree oven for 45 minutes.

(My Secret Ingredient - Mix cinnamon sugar into the cream cheese mixture with a dash of nutmeg)

The recipe does work with Egg beaters for a lower fat version. But it definately turns out better when real eggs are used in the recipe.
